How to do Wudhu?
Acts of Performing Wudhu:
- Make a Niyah (intention) in the heart.
- Recite Bismillah.
- Wash your hands three times up to the wrists, starting from the right hand.
- Take water in the right hand and rinse the mouth three times.
- Next, wash your nostrils three times.
- Wash your face three times from ear to ear and from the forehead to the chin.
- Then, wash your right arm till the elbow three times, repeat the same for your left arm.
- Wipe your head from the front of the head to the back of the head.
- Then, clean your ears with the hands. Wipe the ears by placing the index finger in the ears and wiping the back with the thumbs.
- Finally, wash both the right and left feet three times up to the ankles.
The compulsory acts of Wudhu are four from the above. They are:
- Washing the face from ear to ear and from the forehead to the chin, once.
- Washing the hands and the right arm till the elbow once and then repeat the same for the left arm.
- Wiping the head from the front of the head to the back, once.
- Washing both the right and left foot once, up to the ankles.
